Our Art Annex gallery is located in the small house next door to the cobblestone house, and features traveling exhibits, in-house temporary exhibits, and annual events such as the Russell Floore Memorial Art Show and the Artesia Quilters Guild’s yearly display.

July 20th-August 28th: The Artesia Quilters Guild’s 10th annual show, featuring all-new works.  We will have a special reception on August 21st at 2:00 pm to celebrate their anniversary with the Museum, so please plan to join us!  (575) 748-2390.

Sept. 16th-Oct. 9th:  Our annual Russell Floore Memorial Art Show will open with a reception on Sept. 16th, 4:00-6:00 pm.  This year’s show features art by under-18 artists only!  Prizes will be awarded in 3 age categories, and all visitors are the judges—so come see the show and vote for your favorites.  Call (575) 748-2390 for more information.

October 30th:  Our 3rd annual Día de los Muertos celebration, with lots of fun stuff to do!  We’ll have some new extras this year, so be sure to stop by for refreshments & fun, 1:00-4:00 pm.  (575) 748-2390.

November 11th-December 4th:  Our 4th annual “Honoring Artesia’s Veterans” exhibit, featuring photographs of Artesia’s veterans, past & present, plus an all-new display of military memorabilia.  The exhibit will open with a reception on Nov. 11th 10:00 am-1:00 pm, and the Museum will stay open through the lunch hour that day.  (575) 748-2390.
